    Christ's Object Lessons

I read Christ’s Object Lessons last year. What a wonderful book! It’s an expose on the parables of Jesus. From the parable of the sower, to the lost coin, to the prodigal son, to the Good Samaritan, it’s all in there. Author Ellen White does an exceptional job of highlighting and explaining the key points of each parable.

I was so blessed by reading this book, and I’m sure you will be too. You can purchase a printed copy of the book (from Amazon – also available on Kindle, the ABC, Google Shopping, etc.), but it’s also available online for free! Below are the different ways you can access this gem of a book for no cost.

Jesus is always ready to hear our prayers! Can you imagine that the King of the universe is excited when we approach Him and want to have a relationship with Him?! It’s an amazing thought! This verse promises that Jesus will draw near to us when we draw near to Him. Even the process of us drawing near to Him in the first place is because of the Holy Spirit’s influence in our lives! God loves us so much and is doing everything to woo us to Him so that we might have eternal life!

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

    James 4:8 (NKJV)

  • Your Hope Will Not Be Cut Off.

For surely there is a hereafter, and your hope will not be cut off.

    Proverbs 23:18 (NKJV)

I’ve read the Bible all the way through before (and I’m working on reading it through again), but as I read certain passages yet again, invariably something “new” stands out to me. Such is the case with today’s verse. It’s a promise that there is a heaven – there is a hope of eternal life in a perfect world. And the promise is that our hope will not be cut off. Our hope will be fulfilled. In other words, eternal life is not just a hope, it WILL be a reality! All we have to do is accept Jesus’s sacrifice on our behalf and believe on Him, and the gift of salvation is ours (John 3:16)!

I believe that Jesus is coming again VERY soon! When He does, the righteous dead who are sleeping in their graves will be raised up, and we will all meet the Lord together in the air (1 Thessalonian 4:16-18). Our hope will then be realized. What a glorious day that will be! We’ll be reunited with our loved ones and will forever live in a perfect paradise, where there is no more death, pain, sorrow, or suffering. Come, Lord Jesus!
